See you there!

The Answering Machine

I photographed The Answering Machine for Counterfeit Magazine's debut issue. Whenever I've gone to The Ruby Lounge in the past I've always headed straight for the stage...I didn't realise how nice the rest of the venue is...and how many potential photo opportunities there are!

Dinosaur Pile-Up and Goldhawks

Headed over to the Deaf Insitute in Manchester to photograph Dinosaur Pile-Up's headline gig. The gig ran on later than expected so I got there in time to catch support act Goldhawks as well. Love the Deaf Institute...everything about it is so well thought out and it looks amazing. Definately one of the better venues in Manchester.

The Goldhawk pictures can be found on http://www.weareunitedmusic.co.uk/ along with a review, while Dinosaur Pile-Up were shot for http://www.guestlistmusic.com/

sandbox

sandbox are one of my favourite Manchester bands...and one of the first bands I photographed live. They've got a new EP on the way so we headed out round Castlefield and to a snooker hall to get some new pictures. A couple of shots from the shoot are below, as well a photo from that very first live set! Listen to the band at www.myspace.com/sdbxuk

Alabama 15th Anniversary

The Alabama Showboat is a bit of a Blackpool institution. It (and host / compere Leye D Johns) celebrated it's 15th Anniversary on Saturday night with a full on cabaret extravaganza. Plus I got to photograph Lionel Vinyl! For more info on the shows visit www.thealabama.co.uk

Dinosaur Pile-Up

Love love love Dinosaur Pile-Up (no bias of course...)! They played a brilliant gig at The Box in Crewe, although the crowd was pretty sparse. Great venue though, never even realised it was there tucked away by the train station! Check out Tom's ultra stretchy skin in the bottom pic...!

Nikky Hatton

Did a photoshoot for dancer Nikky Hatton...

Mikala Leigh French

I always forget how windy the Fylde can get, especially when you go down to the beach! Went to St Annes Pier with singer Mikala Leigh French to do some new publicity shots.

We braved the wind for a bit before finding a more sheltered spot in the pier entrance (much nicer than the amusement arcade it led into!)...

Paolo Nutini

Shot the Paolo Nutini gig at Preston 53 Degrees last night for guestlist. Brilliant gig from Paolo, he'd just gone to number 1 with his album and the crowd were amazing.
